Role overview

Contract night supervisor RN for a long-term care facility in the Hudson Valley. Leadership experience required for overnight unit oversight.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise nursing staff and CNAs on assigned unit during night shift.
  • Triage resident acuity changes and coordinate with on-call physicians.
  • Ensure compliance with medication administration and documentation standards.
  • Conduct rounds, manage staffing gaps, and escalate to administrator as needed.
  • Complete incident reports and shift summaries for day team handoff.

Qualifications & requirements

  • NYS RN license with supervisory experience in LTC.
  • Minimum three years nursing experience with one year in charge/supervisor role.
  • BLS required; PALS not required.
  • Strong crisis management and communication skills.
  • Available for 8–13 week contract with possible extension.
