Role overview
Per-diem radiology technician coverage for outpatient and hospital imaging departments across NYC. ARRT-certified techs needed for diagnostic imaging support.
Key responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures per physician orders and protocol.
- Position patients safely and minimize radiation exposure per ALARA principles.
- Maintain imaging equipment cleanliness and report malfunctions.
- Verify orders, patient identity, and pregnancy screening as required.
- Collaborate with radiologists and nursing staff on urgent cases.
Qualifications & requirements
- ARRT certification and NYS radiologic technologist license.
- Experience with general radiography; CT or fluoro a plus.
- BLS certification required.
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
- Professional appearance and communication with patients and staff.
