Role overview
Per-diem CMA / Med Aide roles at assisted living and nursing home partners in Nassau County. Support medication passes under RN supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Administer routine medications per MAR and facility protocols.
- Observe and report resident responses to medications.
- Maintain accurate medication documentation and controlled substance counts as required.
- Assist with resident care tasks between medication rounds.
- Communicate with RN supervisor regarding refusals, errors, or adverse reactions.
Qualifications & requirements
- NYS certification as Medication Aide or equivalent credential.
- Active CNA certification often required by partner facilities.
- Minimum six months medication aide experience.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits.
- BLS preferred.
